Terms & Conditions – Handmade Foiled Envelopes

1. Handmade Products

All of our envelopes are individually handmade to order. Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, slight variations in size, folding, alignment, edges and finish are normal and contribute to the unique character of each envelope.

No two envelopes will be identical.

2. Personalised Orders

All foiled envelopes are made to your individual specifications, including names, addresses, monograms, initials or other personalised details.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all spelling, names, addresses and wording supplied are accurate before production begins.

Once production has commenced, personalised orders cannot be amended. 

3. Foiling Process

Our envelopes are created using a specialist laser printing foiling process.

Whilst every effort is made to achieve the highest quality finish, the foiling process may naturally produce minor variations, including:

• Tiny black specks or pin dots within the foil.
• Small areas where foil coverage is lighter.
• Fine hairline marks visible under certain lighting conditions.
• Minor inconsistencies in foil transfer.

These are never noticeable differences 

These characteristics are an inherent part of the foiling process and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Metallic foils will also reflect light differently depending on the viewing angle and lighting conditions. 

4. Wax Seals

Each wax seal is individually handmade and applied by hand.

As a result:

• Shape and thickness may vary slightly.
• Small air bubbles or surface texture variations may occur.
• Minor marks from handling or postage may occasionally appear.

These are natural characteristics of handmade wax seals and are not considered faults.

5. Dried Flowers

Where envelopes include genuine dried flowers, each arrangement is created by hand using natural botanical materials.

As dried flowers are a natural product:

• Every arrangement will differ slightly.
• Colour, size and shape will vary.
• Minor petal movement or shedding may occur during handling or transit.
• Flowers may naturally fade over time when exposed to sunlight.

These variations are expected and do not constitute defects.

6. Handmade Envelope Characteristics

Each envelope is carefully handmade and assembled.

As a result, slight variations may occur in:

• Fold alignment.
• Edge finishing.
• Envelope dimensions.
• Card texture and grain.
• Adhesive application.

These characteristics reflect the handmade nature of the product and are not considered faults.

7. Colour Variations

Colours viewed on electronic devices may differ from the finished printed product.

Metallic foils and coloured card may also vary slightly between production batches.

 

8. Production & Dispatch

Production times begin once all order details have been confirmed.

Estimated turnaround times are provided as a guide and may vary during busy periods.

 

9. Delivery

Once dispatched, responsibility for delivery rests with the postal or courier service.

We are not liable for delays caused by postal services, customs, adverse weather or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

 

10. Damaged Orders

If your order arrives damaged, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

• Clear photographs of the damaged envelopes.
• Photographs of the packaging.
• Your order details.

Each claim will be assessed individually.

 

11. Personalised Goods

As all foiled envelopes are handmade and personalised to your requirements, they cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded once production has commenced, unless they are faulty or not as described. This does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.

 

12. Care Instructions

To preserve the quality of your envelopes:

• Store flat in a cool, dry place.
• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Handle wax seals and dried flowers with care.
• Avoid placing heavy objects on top of embellished envelopes.

 

13. Intellectual Property

All envelope designs, layouts, artwork and decorative arrangements remain our intellectual property and may not be copied, reproduced or used without our prior written consent.

 

14. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the envelopes supplied. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or incidental losses arising from the use of our products.

 

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
